Stopping to practice a hobby

What brings you peace?

It’s not often simple task to find peace. It is not so simple to find time to get to a peaceful state. My day is full of work responsibilities that actively demand the maximum amount of energy I have throughout the day. After work, I need to summon extra from deep withinmy being, to take care of myself and my family.

One last effort before burnout.

The state of being at maximum efficiency and effort is not a peaceful state for me. No matter how productive positive the day might have been. It’s probably a by-product of taking more from myself than I should. It’s just too much.

For me, a peaceful state is when I have a moment to work on a hobby. To just stop and focus on being creative just to create. I’ve had moments in life where the worst has been happening, and it feels as if I don’t have anything left over for myself or to give to anyone else. But the moment I take time to create. It is like a chemical reaction happens. Peace and my chaotic focus mixes together, and I’ve recharged my reserves.

I know what you mean. I find that peace when I look through the lens of a camera. Nothing else exists except my subject, which is usually wildlife or something in nature.

Nature photography is such a relaxing hobby. I’ve only tried it once or twice. I admire the craft. It’s wonderful how the images can make you feel like you are standing in the environment where the photo was taken.
