The Importance of Hobbies for Mental Health

What details of your life could you pay more attention to?

I could spend more time making time for myself. It’s such a tiny detail that it often gets overlooked. I usually feel guilty that I should be doing something productive for my family or work. I should participate in my hobbies because they’re good for my mental health, yet I’m worried that my hobbies are too expensive.
I love buying and making comic books. I enjoy reading independent and mainstream comics. I often prefer physical books instead of digital ones. I love going to comic book conventions for the opportunity to get the creators of my comic books to sign and autograph them. Yet I have not done that in a long time because I often think that my money and time are better spent doing anything more substantial than simple hobbies.
Time and money are something I should spend more on for myself. Giving time and money to myself is such a tiny detail that I feel trapped in my routine when I ignore it. When I think this way, I become stressed and feel less than I am.
This prompt was an excellent reminder to take some time, revisit some of my hobbies, and give myself time and money.
