Okay. So today’s stream of consciousness talk is about walking. I have been trying to incorporate more movement into my day because I guess, um, it’s better for your health. While I do work out maybe like 3 days a week, I need some more steps.
They [my doctor] say getting in more steps is good for you. In the morning, I take a 15-minute break and walk. At lunchtime, I take another 15 to 30-minute break to walk. In the afternoon, I do another 15-minute break. So I walk for about an hour on most days.
I get close to maybe 9,000 to 8,000 steps. I’m a leisurely walker, not a power walker, so I’m not gonna get like a bunch of steps.
So while it has been great to walk a little bit more, I guess it’s good as far as cardio goes. But it’s kind of frustrating because I haven’t exactly seen it help me lose weight.
So it’s great for fitness and stuff, but I wish it would contribute to more calorie burning than what it’s doing right now.
So, for an hour of walking, you know, it looks like I only burn like 100 calories, which is not much. And I’ve just been struggling to try to lose weight for fat loss.
It’s looking like my weight loss efforts are a little bit more complex than I thought. It would be great if the effort that I put in, in terms of my diet and exercising, actually showed some changes.
I wish I could see changes in the circumference of my waist or pounds being moved. I’ve been at this for about almost 6 months now, and I have seen no progress. If anything, I think I know I’ve gained pounds of fat. So yeah.
