Galavant (2015–2016) is a medieval musical-comedy series that often breaks the forth wall. The show features songs by Alan Menken, that functions to pair with the meta-satire of traditional fairy tales and fantasy tropes. The plot follows Sir Galavant, a washed-up knight who attempts to reclaim his reputation and his “true love,” Madalena, only to find she prefers wealth and power with the insecure King Richard. Overtime through the two seasons, the traditional hero’s journey is thrown away as some villains become soft-hearted protagonists, damsels become ruthless dictators, and main characters sing their way through the absurd realities of their fantasy world. Also, there may be a dragon.
That aside the price makes no sense. Like why. Ive seen priced for dvd box sets and rare finds bonus into the $600.00 but nothing this high ever.
