Below-70-degree Fahrenheit is Freezing

Freezing makes me think of a below-70-degree Fahrenheit morning in California. It’s okay whether and the perfect day for a jacket, boots, and chocolate.

I’m too lazy to make chocolate on those days, so I go to Starbucks and get a hot mocha latte. I want to be in my house, watching an old show on those days. But on average, those are the days I have to go outside and run errands (or go to work).

This means I have to drive to my errand destination because it’s the only efficient way to travel where I live. The temperament of drivers in my part of California on a cold day is scary. If I could describe it in one word, it would be nihilism.

So. Yeah. I turn up the temperature in my car and try my best to get to my destination in one piece.

Luckily it rarely stays below 70 degrees on those days. By noon, I’ll need to be out of that jacket tied around my waist and drinking ice-cold water. California is a strange place.
