I didn’t post yesterday, so I’m embracing an unfinished project.

The week and my routine shifted this week, and I just forgot to post. I had intended to make Wednesday the day that I regularly write and post. It often frustrates me that my plans and goals don’t go according to the way that I want, but sometimes, like this week when there are more responsibilities that I have to carry, I try to be ok with not maintaining a goal exactly. So for this week. I am going to look at an unfinished work with a more positive outcome. This is a page that I was sketching for Wednesday. I don’t know whether I will finish it or not.

However, there are some good things about not finishing your work.

It’s a good way to get motivated. According to a post at Yale News.

It seemed that the brain is wired to notice and remember incomplete things better than finished ones, Ongchoco said. The findings suggest that “unfinishedness” isn’t just about motivation or satisfaction. It’s built into the way people see and remember the world.

Because our brains are built to know what happens next, you can remember things that aren’t finished. In the sense of wanting to be motivated to finish something. So next time I’ll be more on time with writing and creating something to show next Wednesday.
